Carol Burrowes DeWolf was born on April 17, 1916 in Jamaica, Long Island, New York.  She married Robert Morrison DeWolf in 1943 and moved to California.

Together they had five sons, sixteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren (so far).

She wrote an autobiography, aptly entitled O Boy!.   She also wrote several diaries, starting when she was 13.

She and Robert travelled extensively and Carol filled many sketchbooks with drawings, including one here of Germany and Norway.

Carol died peacefully on October 7, 2007.  There was a memorial service on Saturday January 5, 2008 at 2 p.m.  Some of its content is available here.
